Presentation
Dr. Michael Jacobson is a professor of forest resources at Penn State and an affiliate professor at UM6P. Throughout his over 30+ year career which includes work at the World Bank and Peace Corps, he has integrated extension, teaching and research to promote sustainable land use with interdisciplinary approaches bridging social and biophysical sciences. Major topics of interest include agroforestry, bioenergy, forest finance and economics and water-energy-food nexus. He teaches forest economics, global agricultural systems, agroforestry, and international forestry. He has significant presence in international activities, in dozens of countries but mainly focused on Africa. He is currently leading two international projects funded by the Belmont Forum and the National Science Foundation on drought/disaster risk and resilience indicators and water-energy-food nexus.What I can bring to this network ?
