I'm a natural/ social science PhD candidate who researches NUS/ novel food systems for nutrition, agrobiodiversity and systems transformation.
Presentation
I'm from Australia with a background in temperate and tropical agriculture systems with a specialised focus on dryland landscapes and systems. I'm passionate about Neglected Underutilised Species (NUS) and looking at opportunities to optimise and diversify behaviours, diets and farming systems. I have a particulate passion for the genus "Opuntia" or "prickly pear" as it is commonly referred to.
What I can bring to this network ?
Background in NUS and co-innovation, climate smart agriculture, willingness to experiment with NUS.
What I seek in this network ?
I'm looking for mentorship, collaboration to bring NUS on the agenda and build coalitions of systems thinkers who want to sustainably transform the food systems with novel and niche approaches.
