Living lab
Definition
A living lab is an open, user-centered, and collaborative methodological approach that involves real-life environments for co-creating, testing, and evaluating innovations. It engages multiple stakeholders—including end users, researchers, and practitioners—through iterative experimentation and feedback loops. Living labs are used to develop solutions that are contextually relevant, socially acceptable, and practically implementable, bridging research and real-world application.
