I am an agronomist, working on innovation in the cropping systems for the transition of the agrifood systems. I contributed to develop several methods to work on cropping systems analysis and design, particularly in real situations. I am currently the pilot of the national french network IDEAS (Initiative for the Design in Agrifood systems).

My overall goal: contribute to the strengthening of small-scale family farming in tropical areas through the co-production of knowledge and approaches, the co-design and participatory dissemination of technical and social innovations at local, national and international levels, policy lobbying, as well as through capacity-sharing and linkage among R&D actors.

I'm an agronomist engineer working for a regional irrigation company in South East France, called Société du Canal de Provence (SCP). I'm in charge of small team of engineers and technicians dealing with soil science and field irrigation management and control. Our resources : sensors, IT platform as well as soil description and analysis, all of which settled on a strong agronomic and pedologic expertise. Our activities : sharing first level collective advice, bringing high value services, experimenting and innovating on new techniques and practices.
I also developped a specific expertise on waste water REUSE, and managed projects on this topic in France and in the MENA region. Considering climate change context and impact on water cycles, each freshwater drop counts, even if it is recycled...

What I can bring to this network ?

I can bring to the network both technical broad know how on field irrigation and REUSE, and connections with French regional farmers and mediterranean partners.

What I seek in this network ?

I seek in this network a sharp look on agrosystems management, especially regarding agroecological standards and innovation.

Trained at the Institut Agro de Montpellier, where I specialized in markets, organization, and quality of agriculture in the South, I developed expertise in analyzing agricultural systems and their complexities. Passionate about multi-stakeholder projects, I seek to reconcile the interests of each to develop collective solutions. I have worked with associations, NGOs, and cooperatives on various projects: strengthening the skills of family producers, supporting certification (Participatory Guarantee Systems, FairTrade), analyzing the dynamics of collective action, and socioeconomic studies. These experiences have allowed me to work in different countries, including Brazil, Guinea-Bissau, Senegal, and Mauritius.

What I can bring to this network ?

I will be responsible for running the platform, ensuring its smooth operation, and enriching it with resources produced by all members. I will also be committed to making the content as educational as possible, in order to facilitate its adoption by as many people as possible.

What I seek in this network ?

An enriching experience in contact with inspiring professionals. Participating in a project improving the knowledge of a wide audience, knowledge being for me the greatest wealth.
